Mounted to a single shaft wobblestick, the GRABSHOM7 can be used to manipulate SHOM flag style sample plates. It has a matching slit to slide over the sample plate's handle. By twisting the GRABSHOM 90 degrees either way, the sample plate will click into place and is held there gently by a sprung element. After depositing the sample plate, the GRABSHOM is again twisted 90 degrees and the sample plate can be released.
Contrary to similar other grabbers, the GRABSHOM doesn't have a fixed limit stop that could result in bending and eventually snapping off the sample plate's handle if rotated in the wrong direction. Rather, it offers continuous rotation while the sample plate is inserted.
