  • The DRVMDMOTLR16 is a high-precision stepper motor-driven linear and rotary actuator, designed for seamless integration with MD16 Sample Transporters. It features a motorized spindle drive that controls linear motion via an outer magnet, achieving a resolution of 0.01mm.

    The rotary axis is activated via gear wheels, which transfer motion from a second stepper motor with a planetary gearbox, ensuring precise and repeatable rotation. The sturdy construction maintains stable alignment and consistent positioning, making it ideal for applications in ultra-high vacuum (UHV) environments.

    A Nanotec 2-phase stepper motor (ST2018L0804) drives the linear axis, while a second stepper motor with gearbox controls the rotary axis.

    This drive can be retrofitted to existing MD16 Sample Transporters.
    For bakeout procedures, the stepper motor must be removed.
