The CTDH40 UHV Booster is a liquid nitrogen (LN2) cold trap designed to significantly accelerate pumpdown times in small transfer chambers, such as the VSCT40 Fast Pump Down Dock. This "cryopump" effectively reduces base pressure by a factor of 10, enabling rapid sample transfer from portable UHV suitcases into larger UHV systems without the need for lengthy bakeout procedures.
