The slide-bearings are the only parts of the sample transporter, that wear out. It is important to check the smoothness of the motion from time to time and please make sure, you don't hear any scratching noise or feel unusual friction while using the RM. Worn out bearings can be responsible for extensive outgassing effects during motion. If any of the above occurs, replace the bearings.

includes 1x inner coupling bearing, 1x inner shaft bearing, 2x outer coupling bearing, spare screws

Outer coupling bearings are mounted with the chamfer facing the magnet and are designed to be baked up to 150°C for 12h before first use, with the coupling on the manipulator tube. This will relax the initially stiff movement.
