  • The LSA3.1 is a rechargeable, battery-powered high-voltage controller designed for the operation of ion pumps in mobile and compact ultra-high vacuum (UHV) systems. It is particularly suited for integration into UHV suitcases and other portable vacuum setups where no permanent power supply is available.

    The unit provides a +5 kV positive output and is configured for diode ion pumps. It includes an integrated pressure display calibrated for SAES NexTorr™ pumps, allowing direct readout of vacuum levels in mbar.

    A Pt100 temperature input enables monitoring of cryogenic applications, such as LN2-cooled sample stages. The controller also features an acoustic alarm to indicate low battery conditions or elevated temperatures. With a typical operating time of approximately 45 hours (depending on operating conditions), the LSA3.1 supports extended mobile use. A USB interface allows readout of operational parameters, including pump current, pressure, temperature and battery status.
