  • Available translation mechanisms for this dual-shaft, dual-rotary transfer arm:

    RMJ40 - Standard Slide Translation (Recommended):

    • A specially designed inner sliding ring with minimized contact points ensures smooth and precise movement of the inner rods through the shaft, enabling effortless sample transfer. This highly durable design is ideal for ultra-high vacuum (UHV) environments and is our recommended version.

    RMD40 - Dry Lubricated Ball Bearing Translation:

    • This version utilizes sapphire hybrid ball bearings with a Dicronite (WS2) dry lubricant coating to ensure smooth and precise rod translation within the shaft. It is recommended exclusively for ultra-high vacuum (UHV) applications where minimal outgassing is paramount.

    Both the RMJ40 (Recommended) and RMD40 are available in standard lengths or can be customized to your specifications.

  • This Sample Transporter is a manual sample transfer arm designed to move samples between ultra-high vacuum (UHV) chambers.

    • Enhanced Stability: Its square, tubular shaft provides superior stability compared to traditional solid shafts, making it perfect for:
      • Longer models (>500mm)
      • Heavier loads
    • Independent Rotation: The inner shaft rotates independently, allowing for the operation of active end-effectors such as pincers, wafer lifting gear, and rotatable sample platforms.Note: This model features a single rotary design, allowing for independent rotation of the inner shaft but not rotation of the end-effector itself.
    • Smooth Motion: The square shaft glides smoothly within slide bearings, while the inner shaft rotates precisely on sapphire hybrid ball bearings.
    • Strong Coupling: Rare-earth magnets ensure a secure connection between the handle and the shaft.

    Shaft Orientation:
    The standard shaft orientation is shown in the image. However, you can specify a 30° rotated orientation (H option) if needed. This is important when using a PGRMS pincer, as the flange bolt hole orientation determines whether the pincer jaws open horizontally or vertically.
