This glove box extension kit allows for the controlled transfer of cryogenically frozen samples from an inert gas environment to ultra-high vacuum, ensuring sample integrity at cryogenic temperatures is maintained throughout the process.

    This glovebox extention kit is mounted directly to an existing glovebox side wall.
    It enables a complete cryogenic transfer, designed to maintain complete control over air-sensitive samples, from inert gas preparation to ultra-high vacuum (UHV).

    Key Workflow Steps:

    • Inert Gas Preparation: Begin your process within the controlled environment of your glove box, ensuring your samples remain protected from oxygen and moisture contamination.
    • LN2 Freezing: Utilize the integrated cryo-loading station to rapidly freeze your samples with liquid nitrogen (LN2).
    • Sample Mounting: Mount your frozen samples onto carriers directly in the LN2 bath within the glovebox.
    • UHV Transfer: Dock a UHV cryo-transfer suitcase (UHVCTS) to the FerroLoader docking station. Crucially, your samples are parked on a cold stage within a vacuum chamber reaching 1E-7 to 1E-9 mbar while the suitcase is prepared. This ensures your cryogenically frozen samples remain protected during the transfer process.
