Why is a support needed?
The Ferrovac Linear / Rotary Feedthrough performs best and has the longest lifespan if it is properly supported.
The thin manipulator tube enables the signature smooth operation and tactile handling feel of the Ferrovac motion feedthroughs, but accidentally bumping into it can bend it or create leaks at the welding seams. This is especially true for longer transfer rods where even the manipulator's own weight can cause trouble over time.To avoid this, Ferrovac tube supports secure the tube with guard rails that still enable continuous rotation and smooth travel during operation.

Standard Option
A very sturdy support option that protects the manipulator with two additional rails.Single-Sided Option
For many applications, especially transfer arms with less than 300mm travel range, a single-sided support rail is enough to protect the manipulator. This also keeps the magnetic coupling as accessable as possible for the user.Tube Support Adapter
