  The Ferrovac Drawer Style Receiver

  Ferrovac Drawer Style Receivers are very adaptable sample plate receivers for almost any application.

  They are compatible with all Ferrovac Flag Style Sample Plates, and there are various design adaptations available for specific applications, like cryogenic or high temperature sample preparation.

  Sample Holder Type:

  The sample holder type describes which type of sample holder the receiver is compatible with.
  OM represents the standard, modernized Ferrovac design, which based on Omicron Flags.

  Options:

  Drawer style receivers are highly adaptable. The most commonly used options are listed here.

  • LT - Low / High Temperature: The receiver is adapted for very low or very high temperatures. Instead of upwards to reduce friction, the sample plate is pressed downwards onto a larger surface area to improve thermal conductivity with the receiver.
  • RA - Rear View Access: The receiver includes a large bore at the center to allow for optical access from below.
  • 3S - Three-Point Positioning: The receiver is adapted to enable precise three-point positioning of the sample plate. Comaptible only with the SHOM3S flag style plate.
  • EC13 - 13 Electrical Contacts: The receiver includes 13 electrical contacts, which the sample plate (only SHOMEC13 sample holders) connects to when inserted.
  • HTR - Heater Unit: The receiver is adapted to enable the direct mounting onto a sample heater (usually a PBN heating unit).
